Since this is the biggest expense, I need to figure it out before I spend any more on anything. I can steal some pieces from elsewhere in the yard but I will need a long table and someplace for my friends to plop their tushes.
Some ideas.
Table from Ikea. Removable extensions-100" long 30" wide seats 10. A possible option $100
Chairs also form Ikea. I have 4 of these already so it would only require 6 more to seat 10. 6@ $10 each= $60
The french park chairs I really want are $15 each and I would need 10 $150 plus the table would pretty much blow the budget.
I know! I will have Mike Fish the handiest man build a table. He will be thrilled.. haha
I think he would be the most thrilled if your plan is to make the table out of pallets! You could just make the table top of pallets, and buy the legs from Ikea, have you seen those? Then have the extra budget for those more expensive chairs!
ReplyDeleteHow you been T? Hey- there's some great table and bench plans on this blog called Knock Off Wood, (http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com). This woman looks at furniture from like, Crate & Barrel or Restoration Hardware and figures out how to make 'em. Most of the stuff is real easy, and the materials don't cost much; it's really all about how much time you spend on the finish that determines how it turns out. I think her Farmhouse table would look good as an outdoor table.
